The Elms – Toowoomba Christian College

The Elms is a signature project at Toowoomba Christian College, designed to create a welcoming heart for the campus and a lasting legacy for students. Completed in 2017 as part of a broader multi-stage masterplan, the space features a central avenue of Chinese Elms, lush planting, and outdoor gathering areas that connect seamlessly with surrounding buildings.

What makes The Elms special is not only its beauty but its purpose — it transformed an underutilised area into a thriving landscape where students gather, learn, and celebrate. The restrained planting palette provides cohesion, easy maintenance, and long-term sustainability, while the timeless design has set the standard for future campus developments.

Today, The Elms continues to grow with the school, a living example of how thoughtful landscape design can enrich daily life and shape the identity of a place.
