A very warm welcoming hello to you!

My life started in a garden, being born in the Garden City of Toowoomba.  Later my family moved to the Moreton Bay region to live.  My childhood was spent growing up in the suburbs and sitting in the back seat of the family Ford on many road trips in the outback of Australia.

I grew up in an art-filled environment with a deep connection to natural landscapes, rural and regional communities, and the arts. This inspired me to study for a Bachelor of Design in Landscape Architecture with minors in Urban Planning and Interior Design.

Porter Designs was founded in 2013 on a firm foundation of persistence and determination to contribute to the industry amidst a downturn in the construction industry.  My unwavering passion for designing and creating landscapes that enhance people’s lives has lead to my studio’s success.

I recognised early on that what people truly needed was a designer who would listen to and understand them.  I made it my mission to listen to my clients intently and with purpose, capturing the heart and vision of their brief. 

My ultimate goal is to capture what is truly important to my clients and then showcase this through my design so they feel connected with their garden on an emotional level. 

The purpose of Porter Designs is to serve people by designing a fulfilling life in the landscape and to share by supporting our community.
