Prep to Year 4 Playgrounds

Welcome to our showcase page for the Downlands College Prep to Year 4 landscape design courtyards! Our project involved creating stunning outdoor spaces within architecturally designed education buildings, where children could learn, play, and explore.

Our landscape design team worked closely with a group of teachers to develop a design brief that met the mobility development and educational needs of the students. We understood the importance of creating a safe and engaging playground that would spark their imagination and ignite all seven senses.

Our landscaping ideas centered on using a mix of textures, colors, and scents to create a sensory-rich environment. We used native Australian plants and trees to complement the surrounding natural landscape and enhance the beauty of the gardens. We used exotic plants that are culturally significant to Toowoomba for sense of place and connection to the region.

Our landscape architect played a crucial role in the project, bringing years of experience and expertise to the table. With a deep understanding of landscape architecture principles, our team was able to create a cohesive design that integrated seamlessly with the existing buildings and surroundings.
